The Expectation – Fine Art to Live Action

For our first visual effects module at university we were tasked to recreate a fine art painting into a live action shot. The piece of fine art I chose was The Expectation (1935/1936), Richard Oelze most famous painting depicting a group of people looking onto the horizon. The process took 3 months which spanned the duration from pre production to post production while also undertaking 2 other projects in the term. Download my report below for a deeper insight on the methods I used to create this shot and the process along the way.
